2-27-14 “Deaf Applause” v.2
During March week in 1988, there was a Deaf President Protest. The waving of thousand “high fives" means the deaf sign. The hands of language applause stretched straight up and fingers fluttering in the air. The sign became Deaf Applause for the permanent language. It is so phenomenal that Deaf People still use it for special occasions, lectures, theaters and much more for 26 years until today. Would you image what our life is like without Deaf applause? My watercolor v.1 was in 1988.
