Block Oralism painting is about the stop oralism being forced on Deaf person and  changed directions to ASL. The background is the stained glassed window. I had a painting of "I will Never Forget" in 2011. one part in work showed fence  in the  window. People from all over nation sees it and made same comment" is that Gallaudet chapel window" Fence represents barrier communication and the color of lights bring through represents hope.
The hand and mouth inspired from beloved Deaf Artist Harry Williams who was in Deaf Art movement in 1970's.
