Met a Deaf  oralist survivor woman, my same age. Her name is Patty that she told me all stories where she grew up and went to catholic school, hearing school, then finally went to Deaf School. One of Patti's early childhood story about about her  nun- teacher did not tell her about confirmation event. She showed up and saw all her girl classmates wore white.  In this painting, a girl  became an invisble in school church and not secluded with the special event.she came home and cried.  

We discussed that we never get answer why nun teacher did not write note or let her parents know. That is oralism survivor story from almost 50 years ago.
